Cookie Policy.

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the ACT International website — and, just as importantly, which are not.

Effective date: 20 September 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in much the same way. They are widely used to keep websites functioning, remember preferences and help site owners understand how pages are used.

This policy explains which of these technologies are used on act-int.com and what control you have over them.

2. What this website sets

ACT International's website is a corporate catalogue and enquiry site. It is deliberately light on cookies:

We do not set advertising cookies, marketing pixels or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not use analytics services that identify you, and we do not store your name, email address or any other personal information in cookies or browser storage.

  • Strictly necessary: the website itself stores nothing essential on your device — it works fully with cookies disabled
  • Analytics and performance: not used on this website
  • Advertising and targeting: not used on this website

3. Spam protection on our forms

Our contact and quote forms use simple anti-spam checks (a hidden field and a minimum completion time). These checks run while the form is open and do not set any cookie or store anything on your device.

4. Third-party content — Google Maps

The Contact page can display maps provided by Google for our Dubai and Cairo office locations. These maps are not loaded automatically: each map is replaced by a placeholder with the office address in text, and nothing is requested from Google until you click “Load map”. Until then, no Google cookies are set through our site.

If you click “Load map”, Google may set cookies from its own domains to display the map and remember your map preferences. These cookies are set and governed by Google, not by ACT International, and your choice to load maps is remembered in your browser's local storage so you are not asked again on this device. Clearing your browser storage restores the placeholder.

You can review how Google handles this data in Google's own privacy and cookie policies. Every office address, phone number and email remains available in text form whether or not you load the maps.

5. Server logs

Like almost all websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security, troubleshooting and performance. These logs are not cookies, are not used for marketing, and are retained only as long as operationally necessary.

6. How to manage cookies

You can view, delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies while allowing others. Because this website does not rely on cookies to function, restricting them will not prevent you from browsing our products or submitting the contact and quote forms.

7. Changes to this policy

If we introduce new features that use cookies — for example, an optional analytics tool — we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date.
